Certified in Ophthalmology. Each completed two-year Vitreo-Retinal fellowships after
finishing their ophthalmology residency programs. This provided advanced training in
the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the retina and vitreous. We are devoted to
diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina, macula and vitreous. We diagnose and
treat macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and vascular occlusions related to the
eye, in addition to a variety of other conditions. Our physicians are committed to
innovation and excellence in providing the best eye care available using the state of the
art diagnostic, treatment and surgery options.

Our Practice’s History
Vitreo Retinal Consultants was founded in 1974, by Dr. Leslie W. Nesmith with a
mission to provide the best possible patient care in a setting that comfortable and
secure. We continue that mission today. In private practice and through our involvement
in clinical studies we continuously try to find new and effective treatments for retinal
disorders. You will be treated professionally and with courtesy at all times.

Vitreo-Retinal Consultants and Surgeons’ main office is located in Wichita, Kansas,
and is one of the areas most sophisticated practices. We have eleven clinical exam
rooms, where most of our patient preliminary testing and physician exams are
completed. This offices has three camera rooms for retina photography work, two laser
rooms, four specialty testing rooms, and three treatment rooms.
While our home office is in Wichita, our doctors provide clinic hourss in a number of
locations in Kansas and Oklahoma. Most of the services provided in our main location
are completed in these locations:
